Next Activity: Snowshoeing - 28th August - 1st September - see program for details.
9th August
Six participants enjoyed a spectacular, though challenging, walk in the Murrah Gorge. The undergrowth was thicker than the last time this walk was held and, in some places, so scrubby that it made for fairly slow progress. Some very light rain early in the morning caused the river rocks to be slippery. There were no leeches or ticks, but some nettles, burrs and spiky vines were encountered. This was compensated for by the amazing vegetation including birds nest ferns, elk horns and rainforest trees as well as the treasures of the Gorge - as can be seen in the photos.
Thanks to the leader of the day, Robert.
